Perpetually snowy. Often high winds and snowstorms

Significant features/landmarks:
An enormous icy plateau with very little to distinguish any part of it from any other. very easy to become lost and perish in the blank white landscape.
Strange stone ruins may be found deep in the wastes
no plants and very little shelter in the form of sparsely scattered rocks are found in this perpetually snowy environment

Lore: 
Some tribes used to send their adolescents into The Ice Wastes as a right of adulthood or a spirit-quest.
Many men and Tokotas have entered the wastes and never returned.

Stories/rumors/warnings (if any):
Rumors are that there is a cave entrance deep in the Wastes hidden amongst a small rocky outcrop but know one knows what lies inside.
They say that wendigoes wander the wastes and kick up storms to confuse travelers
This is a very dangerous area and extreme caution should be taken when venturing into it.
